We have a Timothy P. JONES in Hardin County on the 1860 census in Hale twp, pg 345. The P in his name stands for Phineas, but on one record it looks like Pearce, which is incorrect. We also have him on the 1880 census, but the census taker mistakenly called him Thomas P. JONES, On the 1860 census his wife is called Hannah and he is listed with our ancestor, Phineas T. JONES, who is just a baby. He also had a younger brother named Timothy and older siblings who may be only half siblings. On the 1880 census he is with his wife, Martha Catherine CARTER-BRIDGES. He married his son Phineas's mother-in-law. We have not been able to find Timothy on the 1870 or 1850 census yet. Phineas T. JONES married Eugenia BRIDGES I believe in 1862 in Union Co. Ohio. Their child, Grover Cleveland JONES is my husbands grandfather.Dale's father was Roy Earnest JONES. Grover Cleveland JONES had a brother named William Jones who died in Florida and a brother named Dana.I have their obituaries. On one census he is called Delbert though. They had a sister, I have her name and death somewhere and another sibling who died before the 1900 census, where Eugenia and her three sons are with Lafayette STODDARD, her husband. We are currently working on finding Timothy's father and mother. The lady that helps me has put most of the JONES, BRIDGES/BRIDGE, CARTERS and DANIELS families together on most of the censuses for the counties of Hardin, Marion, Franklin and Union in Ohio. I am in search of information on Jonas LONG of Hardin Co. He is listed in the Hardin County History. I am hoping he is an ancestor of mine. We are looking for information about Charles LONG born Ohio 1804. He has some unique names in the family. Jonas, Luther and Dass then another generation down Horace, Emmanual (Manuel), Luther and Theodore. We also have Wesley and Missouri. I thought that Charles LONG was a very common name, but I am fast finding it difficult to place a Charles born in 1804 in Ohio. He spent his later life in Mississippi and became a baptist preacher. Thanks for any information on Jonas LONG you can give me.

Could someone tell me where the Laure Cemetery is. I can't find it listed on the web page with the cemeteries. And I'm really not sure it's in Hardin Co. This woman died in Columbus, the death cert. shows the funeral home as the Price Funeral Services on North Main St in Kenton. She was entombed in the Laure Mausoleum - Location shows it as being in Laure, Ohio.
