ANDEREGG, LAUTENSCLAGER posted by Nanci L. Lautenslager Anderegg on Saturday, October 21, 2000

Any information on Andrew LAUTENSCHLAGER and his family who are listed in the 1870 census of Hardin County. They were farmers and shoemakers and were born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany. A grand son of Andrew moved to Marion and is buried in Grove Cemetery, Kenton. Where did Andrew and the rest of the family move to or did they stay in Hardin County and if so are they buried in Kenton? My brother is a Sgt. with the Marion Shereff Dept. and my father still lives in Marion. I was born in Marion then grew up in La Rue. I now live in Fayetteville, Georgia and the visits back home become fewer and fewer. That is why I'm happy to have found a site that might help in my family research. Any info. will be of great help. A p.s. to this note I'm also a land holder in Hardin Co. my late Grandfather Henry C. LAUTENSLAGER left me the burial plots next to him and my late Grandmother in Grove Cemetery, Kenton. Perhaps the snow of my youth will fall on my resting spot in the future. I've been spoiled by these warm southern winds. Once more thanks for any info. you might have on my family surname. God Bless, Nanci L. ANDEREGG

SCHERTZER posted by Tom DeWitt on Saturday, October 21, 2000

I can't seem to find this cemetery listed in your web page for them. My Grandfather's sister is buried there - Hannah Jane (Jennie) SCHERTZER, and her husband (most curious about his name and D.O.D.). Last sentence of her obit says - Funeral services were held Monday in the Church of God at Mt. Pleasant in Hardin County, and interment was made in the cemetery near by beside the body of her second husband. Would anyone happen to know the location and name, and possibly the book listing with them in it? Thanks.
