Searching for LUCK, DUKORN, WEISFLOCK, family members. Henry Luck is supposed to have died in service during a war in mid 1800's. His wife Elizabeth (ZIMMERMANN) LUCK left Virginia with her luggage (which contained the deed to their farm) and small children, (#?). The trunk with the farm deed was lost. The farm was sold for back taxes, (location of farm unknown). I only know the name of one child, William born abt 1850. Henry's father's name is possible Wilhelm Henrich LEUCK. The family is said to have come from Bavaria, Germany. His mother was possibly Barthena. I have a Martin LUCK who married Dorthea Mamie DUKORN, this is direct descendant to me. From here I have the family information. If anyone has my missing link, please contact me, I will share what I have. Beth Shetterly P.O.Box 513 Lebanon Ohio 45036 bethshet@ix.netcom.com

I'm trying to trace the parent of my grandfather August Rudolph CARSTENS or his brother Jann Friedrich CARSTENS. He was born on the border of Germany and Denmark near a town of Husum and the family moved to near Schleswig Deutachland Hamburg Germany latter on. He came to America when he was about 16 or 18 years of age from Hamburg. His date of birth is 3/2/1866. After being in America about 2 years or so his father passed away and he stored away on a boat back to Germany for his Funeral. He help his mother to close a food store the parents owned. While there the Kaiser Whilhem put him in the army for 4 years After getting out about 1889 or1890 he stored away again back to America and back to Toledo Ohio to live with his unknown cousins While there he meet Rosina KEISTER and married her 8/23/1890.
