I am trying to locate family records for William and Lillian SHIRK, dates unknown. My grandparents, Edgar T. and Eva E. SHIRK, resided in Kenton. I have contact with all surviving children of Edgar but they know little of their family. William and Lillian had at least 8 children: Francis SHIRK MOORE, Myrtle SHIRK STOODY, Nancy, Ray or Raymond (died in 1959) William (Billie), Russell (7/14/26 - 7/3/90), and Edgar (4/2/08 - 1/30/77). There may have been an infant who died prior to 1935. William may have come from Virginia. I know nothing of William's past. Any help you may be able to offer will be greatly appreciated.

I am researching DUDLEY. Found an old letter that stated "Moses DUDLEY who came into Ohio in the 1820-30 period and after whom Dudley Township in Hardin County was named. Moses had the following brothers: Rev David (d.1867), Daniel, Thomas, & Samuel. Rev David DUDLEY bought land in Marion County as early as 1824 and was pastor of the Free-Will Baptist Church of Big Island which he organized ." Will share with anyone my DUDLEY information.

I am seeking information on the RYAN families. Per the 1840 census, Meshack RYAN b. 1791 in Penn was married to Elizabeth GARNER b. 1791 in N.C. They were listed as below in the census Here's the 1840 census Marion Township. Hardin County, Ohio on page 103. Meshack RYAN 1 male under 5 born 1835 to 1840 Benjamin 2 males 5 to 10 born 1830 to 1835 Enoch and Job 1 male 15 to 20 born 1820 to 1825 Unknown 1 male 40 to 50 born 1790 to1800 Mashack 3 females 10-15 born 1825 to 1830 Unknown 1 female 40-50 born 1790 to 1800 Elizabeth GARNER RYAN The names at the end of the lines were confirmed via the 1850 Howard County Indiana Census: 1850 Howard Co., Indiana (Taylor Twp) census 32/32 RYAN, Mashack 59y PA Elizabeth 59y N.C. Enoch 17 Oh Job 15 Oh Benjamin 12 Oh However, we have not been able to confirm the names of the unknown male or the three unknown females. Potentially, the unknown male is James RYAN b. 1821 who later married Eve Ann BEAMER. One of the females may have been Elizabeth RYAN who married George POFF, but this is still speculation. Any leads on these families appreciated.
