Lokoking for information on Samuel BARRY and Elizabeth COPLAND believed to have lived in Hardin County in 1888. Their Son, Denver BARRY is my paternal grandfather and I am researchning the BARRY line. Denver was reportedly born June 6, 1888 in Hardin County.

Isaac HITCHCOCK 6/05/1790-01/17/1877 veteran of War of 1812, is buried in Huntersville Cemetery Hardin Co. Oh. No marker is there for Keziah MAGNER 6/14/1816-07/27/1881, his 2nd wife. First wife,Mary HAVERFIELD is buried in Crawford Co. OH. Children by 1st wife: Thomas, James, Nancy married Joseph HUNTLEY, Isabella married Francis McGuire CORY, Mary married Asa PERDUE, and Isaac W. Children by 2nd wife: Henry died in the Civil War, Sarah married Wm. P. WETHERILL, Moses, Wescot or Wesley Bigelow married Maggie FIMMONS (had 2 sons,Clarence and Melvin or Alonzo), Samuel married Mattie McELHANY (had son Lewis and daughter Birdie Marie), and Emma Jane married John Peoples. Any information appreciated.

I'am looking for the parents of George F STIMMEL born in Pa 4/12/1832 died in Oh 1/1/1903. He married Mary A SAXTON on 8/20/1857 in Hardin Co.They had 12 childern, a set of twins Frank and Fannine STIMMEL.They were born in Hardin Co. They lived some time in Roundhead. A record showed that Asentha Ann PARKER and Frank TRUAX were born in Hardin. That would have been about 1885. Franks father was James and I think his mother was Harriett. James and Harriett had children Mary TRUAX MAXIUM, William, Anna TRUAX MOFFITT, Fred, Freeman and Frank my Great Grand father. I am told Asentha has 6 sisters. Frank and Asentha settled in Reed City, MI. Do you have any record of James and Harriett TRUAX? Thanks John Truax

Their was an Allen DILDINE family in Dudley Twp. in Hardin County. The time period is correct, so can anyone help me out. Could she be a daugher of Allen DILDINE?

In Hardin County, Ohio death records, 1908 to 1909, I found "J. Milton MAGANN", born: July 11, 1838, died September 9, 1909 in Kenton. Parents listed were Marrett MAGANN and Sophia WHITE. Merrit and Sophia WHITE MAGANN'S son, William, was my great, great-grandfather. Does anyone know what the "J." stands for- some of the "J." children I found in census records were Josiah, Julia, and John. (All this in Amherst and Nelson Counties of Virginia) My great-grandpa Cal (William's son) always talked about relatives in Ohio, so this is an exciting find for me! Also, how would I obtain a death record this far back? The Ohio vital records only goes back to 1945 as far as I understood. Thank you for any help!
